§ 4.59.050. Sale of dangerous or wild animals.

No person who owns, conducts or operates a pet shop shall sell a dangerous or wild animal, as defined in Section 6.28.010 of this code, without first ascertaining the place of residence of the prospective purchaser of such animals. If the prospective purchaser resides in the city, the prospective purchaser shall be advised that he must obtain a permit pursuant to Section 6.28.040 of this code before he may purchase such dangerous or wild animal.
